Job Description:

Working in a team, you will focus on accounting, tax and advisory for a variety of business clients which will give you exposure to a broad range of industries and structures.

The role is well suited for an Intermediate Accountant who can work on a portfolio of business clients and maintain excellent relationships. You will be responsible for client workflow and ensuring monthly targets are hit.
The candidate must have great communication and interpersonal skills as there is a lot of client engagement and internal team interaction.
You will be supported by a partner and a team administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trust
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Data entry of purchases and sales invoices
  • Debtors and creditors management
  • Coding and tracking of expenses
  • Preparation of Monthly Bank Reconciliations and management reports
  • Lodging TFN declarations thru Xero
  • Processing of weekly/fortnightly/monthly Payroll
  • Processing of Superannuation payments
  • Preparation of Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS’s) 
  • Preparation of Monthly Instalment Activity Statements (IAS’s) 
  • Preparation and lodgment of Annual Payment Summaries thru Xero
Qualifications
  • CPA Qualified 
  • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping/accounting experience with an Australian firm
  • Experience with Australian tax and accounting standards
  • Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
  • Experience with Australian SMSF is preferred
  • Experience using Xero
  • Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
